Treasurer’s Report Checking $1879.19 Savings $7,778.54

We will be receiving $1,500 from Stearns County for AIS, $1,000 Grant from
DNR for AIS and we will receive 50% of $1,155 from Wright County AIS

Water Quality – Water Quality shows a little algae

Lake Information - There is now a buoy in the mouth of the river. It was put in by Wright County Water Patrol

AIS – Lakes Restoration treated for milfoil on June 15. Just over 6 acres were treated. 9.6 acres was the goal but DNR allowed less. Roger Rauschendorfer got three sings for Milfoil/AIS treatment awareness. One is at the Boy Scout Camp and two are at Timberwoods. The owners of both properties need to sign for the AIS treatment signs in order for them to be placed there.

Curly Leaf Pondweed was going to be treated but at the time (water temp) in which it could be treated, it was found there was not enough to meet the DNR requirement. After the milfoil treatment was done and DNR inspected the areas treated it was found that we have an overabundance of Curly Leaf and it will need to be treated. The discrepancy was due to the erratic weather/temperatures this spring. We will check to see if it can be treated in the fall.

Lakes Restoration will need to remap the lake next spring.

There was no sign of zebra mussels.

Bog Removal – Bogs over 15’ x 15’ will be removed by CRWD we have a written agreement with the CRWD concerning bogs. An agreement with Timberwoods has yet to be completed. A proposed agreement was sent to them in late March or early April.

No Wake Issue – The issue is still being dealt with. There was an email sent from Christine Husom of Wright County stating that a draft of an agreement for Joint Powers was sent to Stearns County and is now waiting for lawyers to get involved.

Several lakes surrounding us have a NO WAKE agreement during high water situations.

A No Wake ordinance would provide safety, prevent bogs from floating, protect property and shorelines.

Jet Skis must stay 100’ from shorelines at all times.

Membership – Claire will contact non-members about being members. She will put together verbage to present to potential members.
